There are 5 Arabic Vowel Diacritics that would affect how you would pronounce the alphabets:

 

1. Fathah:  The fatḥah is a small diagonal line placed above a letter, it's used to add (a) at the end of the alphabet.

 

2. Kasrah: A similar diagonal line below a letter is called a kasrah, it's used to add (ee) at the end of the alphabet.

 

3. Dammah: The ḍammah is a small curl-like diacritic placed above a letter, it's used to add (oo) at the end of the alphabet.

 

4. Sukun: The sukūn is a circle-shaped diacritic placed above a letter. It doesn't affect how we pronounce the alphabet.

 

5. Tanween: The three vowel diacritics may be doubled at the end of a word to indicate that the vowel is followed by the consonant n. It can add (an), when it is at top of the letter or (un) at ther bottom of the letter or (in), when it used the symbol on the right.
